The 15-Minute Hotel Room Routine for Working Out the Chest
When the Gym is Closed
You land at 11 PM. The hotel fitness center closed at 10 PM. You have spent the last six hours hunched over a tray table, and your chest and shoulders are screaming for some opening and activation. Skipping the workout isn't an option for the disciplined traveler, but working out the chest without a bench or heavy dumbbells seems impossible.
It isn't. The floor of your hotel suite is the only equipment you need to build pushing power and correct the hunched "traveler's posture." The push-up is a fundamental movement, but by altering the leverage, we can target the chest fibers from multiple angles, creating a comprehensive stimulus without stepping foot in a gym.

The Bodyweight Chest Circuit
Perform this routine right in your suite to maximize time under tension and flush the travel fatigue out of your upper body.
1. The Decline Push-Up (Upper Chest Focus)
Place your feet on the edge of the hotel bed or a sturdy chair, with your hands on the floor. This angle targets the clavicular head of the pectorals, mimicking an incline bench press. It builds the "shelf" of the chest. Perform 4 sets to failure.

2. The Wide-Grip Push-Up (Outer Pec Stretch)
Place your hands wider than shoulder-width apart. This reduces the involvement of the triceps and places the maximum stretch on the chest muscles. Focus on a slow, 3-second controlled descent to increase the metabolic demand. Perform 4 sets of 15 reps.

3. The Close-Grip Push-Up (Inner Chest & Triceps)
Bring your hands together directly under your chest, forming a diamond shape with your thumbs and index fingers. This forces a massive contraction at the top of the movement, effectively working out the chest while isolating the triceps. Perform 3 sets of 12 reps.

The "T-Shirt Tent" Problem
When performing push-ups or any floor work, your body is parallel to the ground. If you are wearing a standard, baggy "overpriced mall brand" t-shirt, gravity pulls the excess fabric down like a tent. It gets in your way, traps heat, and hides your form, making it impossible to see if your core is engaged or if your hips are sagging.
You need a garment that defies gravity—something that stays exactly where it should, allowing you to focus on the tension in your chest rather than the fabric in your face.

The Solution: The Performance Crop Top
Our Fly High, Lift Heavy Women's Crop Top is the perfect tactical layer for floor work. Its tailored cropped silhouette eliminates the "tent effect," giving you the freedom to move through a full range of motion without distraction.
